GRACIELA BERETERVIDE: INTERPRETATIVE MATURITY

... The interpretation of the Bach´s Partita Nº1 was played by the pianist with perfect style, appropriate rhythm of the different dances, and with the necessary expression to maintain the freshness that these pieces required.

Later, the Schubert's sonata op. 120 was played by her with great sensitivity and understanding of the fantasy and lirical emotion the composer requires. It was possible, due to the sound chosen by the artist, specially in the fírst movement, where she played with a confidential, poetic and tender melancholy, contrasting the dramatic voices dialoguing with the melody.

The performance of Schoenberg's "Pieces op. 11" demonstrated she is a very intelligent interpreter who knows how to transmit the most delicate nuances that the composer progressively introduce and made the audience understand his atonal language.

In the GÍnastera''s "Suite of Danzas Criollas", Graciela Beretervide showed a great dynamic authority, going from the most delicate phrasing ofthe initial "Adagietto to the more brilliant and virtuosistic aspects of the last dances. She was an exceptional interpreter of this piece, remarking the rhythmical richness of the suite, and the vigourous dances based on argentine folklore.

Finally she played the Mendelssohn "Variations Serious" with an amazing technique and a romantic and elegant expression.
