by Juan Carlos Montero

... The remarkable maturity pianist Graciela Beretervide demonstrated at her recital at the "Amigos de la Música" Association in the "Museo de Arte Decorativo", is due to the fact she has always been in contact with the most important artists and artistic events, and deeply interested Ín all kind of expressions of Art.

The way she performed this program, reflected her exceptional art education, specially due to Claudio Arrau teaching, who is one of the greatest pianists of the century.

For example in Schubert's Sonata op. 120, her interpretation were inspired in the intimate and deep messages of the piece, rather than the virtuoso character.

On the second part playing Schoenberg's "Pieces op. 11" and Ginastera's "Suite of Danzas Criollas" she demonstrated her perfect understanding of both composers ofthe XX Century.

Finally she played the Mendelssohn's "Variations Serieuses" with amazing brilliance.
